Madelief Croonen

I’m Madelief Croonen, 18 years old and I’m a catcher and first base woman. I’m an hard working and talented player who is always looking for an opportunity to develop myself into a better person,  player and teammate. I was selected for the u18 National Junior team twice since 2023 where I represented my country on the European Championships and the World Cup in China. Currently, I am playing for Twins Oosterhout in the Dutch Division 2, where I had a batting average of .398 throughout the whole season 2024. I’d like to continue my athletic journey at a Junior College in the US. After this, my goals are to play for a professional team in Australia or New Zealand and to be part of the Dutch National Team.

Bio

Since 2021, I have been a part of the Talent Team NL program in Amsterdam where I worked hard on finetuning my hitting, fielding and catching skills. I live independently at the Talent Team NL campus where I train twice a day. At bat, I am a strong hitter who likes to get runs over the homeplate. In the field, I take advantage of my length and athletic skills. In the Talent Team NL program, I’m working on the stability in my swing and become an even more powerful hitter. I’m a positive and happy team player and I am eager to learn new things to become as good as possible.

All the experience in the Talent Team NL program, the Dutch National Junior teams and the season ’24 for Twins Oosterhout has helped me to develop myself to the person and player I am right now. I’d like to continue my athletic and academic career for an ambitious Junior College, starting fall 2025.
