I am Senna Grootings, a right-handed batter and a right-handed throwing softball player. I have a strong arm in the outfield, with a pull down of 71 mph, and I consistently get good reads on the ball. I hit for contact and am currently working on developing more power in my swing. Currently, I play for Sparks Haarlem at the Dutch Major League. This year I was selected for the U18 National team where I represented my country at the world cup. Furthermore in 2023 I became part of TalentTeamNl, where I am working hard to develop further. In the USA I am looking to elevate my softball career starting fall 2025 for two years to then continue to play for the Dutch national women’s team.

Bio
I am a hardworking athlete who is always eager to learn. I started to represent my country for the first time in 2023 with the U-18 European Championship in Prague, securing 4th place where I had an average of .429 with 28 at bats and a OBP of .541. In 2023 I also joined TalentTeamNL where I am work on adding more power in my swing and quicker feet in the outfield. In 2024 I played in the WBSC U-18 Women’s softball World Cup in China. In 2024 I also graduated from Caland lyceum and am I looking to pursue my academic further in the USA.
The Dutch national youth team, TalentTeamNL, and Sparks Haarlem have had a major impact on my growth in the last two years and helped developing my skill sets. I hope to continue my growth and sharpening my tools in the USA.
